Test-Firing of the two LTTE 130 mm guns captured recently was conducted Wednesday (25) after they were repaired at the SLEME (Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers) workshop and the Artillery Brigade.The two artillery guns were found by the 5 VIR (Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment), attached to 533 Brigade on 16th February 2009 while they had been kept buried deep down in Puthukudiyirippu area.General Officer Commanding 53 Division Brigadier Kamal Gunaratne, Brigadier C P Gallage, Commander Task Force 2 Brigadier Rohana Bandara and a few Senior Officers were present on the occasion.
