A Philippines registered ship sailing off the Galle Harbour had suddenly disappeared, Galle Radio has informed Colombo Radio. The latter could identify the vessel only as Philippine 548 and were unable to provide any further information.The vessel had gone missing around 2.00 am yesterday and Colombo Radio had informed all ships in the region to inform them if they sighted it. According to Galle Radio authorities no distress signals nor any other communication was received from the vessel when she was sailing near Galle. (NP)
