SLAF MI-24 helicopter gunships and fighter jets made successive air sorties at identified LTTE positions at Visuamadu and Piramathalkulam in Mullaittivu, today (Jan 21).At 2p.m., MI-24 gunships launched ground support air assaults at an LTTE reinforcement group, 1km Southeast of Visuamadu, while jets raided an LTTE transit cum logistic base located in general area Piramanthalkulam, at 4.45 p.m.
