The former deputy leader of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and currently Member of Parliament of the government Karuna Amman alias Vinayagamoorthi Muralitharan said in Colombo that despite different speculations LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran is still hiding himself in the thickets of Wanni and he had not left Sri Lanka so far.Speaking from his information Muralidarran said according to the information he had received the LTTE leader is still in Sri Lanka. "This time he would not be able to survive and he is really trapped by the security forces", MP Muralithran said.MP Muralitharan said, "It will be difficult for him to survive now that the Army is after him," and added he is simply hiding himself in a Northern jungle. The plight of Prabhakaran began after the Sri Lankan Army occupied 95 percent of the land Prabhakaran occupied before.But taking no chances Indian security services intensified their vigil amidst reports of Prabhakaran trying to reach a third country through India. Director General of Police K.P. Jain was quoted having said that the entire police force was put on alert in view of the developments in Sri Lanka."We are aware of what is happening in Sri Lanka and security has been stepped up accordingly," he said.In Chennai a high level meeting of Department heads has been conveyed to tell them all relevant information should be shared with among security agencies. The police said all roads leading to coastal areas are being surveyed by the police.
